I love weddings. One thing that attracts my attention most (besides the couple) is the bride's wedding dress! A bride in her wedding dress is one of the most beautiful visions we are blessed to see! (taken from Trash The Dress).
For a bride, a wedding gown takes priority of all wedding must-haves. How far would you go for your own wedding gown/dress? Would you get your dress custom-made with expensive bling-blings or you'd settle for the ready made ones (and used)? Or maybe you could make your own, really, really cheap... from toilet papers!!
Yes, toilet papers! Don't believe me? Take a look at these lovely creations. You may have a change of mind and save a lot of money:)...
A word of caution... just don't get caught in the rain!! Pictures from Chic-Cheap-Weddings.
Wah!! made of toilet papers? but they don't look like one! Infact, they look just like fabric and pretty too!
ReplyDeleteWow! Those are beautiful toilet papers!!! uhm.. I mean, wedding dress!!
ReplyDeleteYa, like Ann said, they look like fabric instead of toilet papers. LOL!
Ann- They kinda look like fabric but stiff too, ya? These were actually contest winners for wedding gowns made from toilet papers! (according to the site)
ReplyDeleteCindy, I wonder how many rolls they used to make one...
ReplyDeleteI saw a local show (Project Runway Malaysia) where a contestant made a jacket out of baby diapers and it looked smart! I guess it's possible to make a dress from toilet papers:)
Hey Nessa, just hope it doesn't rain on the wedding day cos I'm sure the groom wouldn't want his future wife standing around with nothing on ... LOL!
ReplyDeleteBut I have to agree with the 2 commentators above, it looks more like fabric than toilet paper.
Alamak.. punyalah cantik tu wedding gown. bahaya juga.. if tersalah, pegang, koyak.. abis crita....
ReplyDeletejangan hujan!
Yes, they are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteNot only can't you get caught in the rain, you'd better not sweat. Or maybe that would be okay, you just tear off a corner of your dress!
Very creative, but wouldn't dare wearing one of these!! If only for a minute, maybe I'll think about it. MAYBE. Hah!! ;P
ReplyDeleteMD - Well, that will give the guests something memorable to bring home... hehehe
ReplyDeletePapaJoneh - Ya bah, cantik kan:) Very creative people!
ReplyDeleteHi MenopausePrincess:)
ReplyDeleteI think this type of wedding dress should only be worn for photo shoots
Crystal - Neither do I. I mean toilet paper isn't what I would consider 'wearing':)
ReplyDeleteSo if out of nervousness the bride needs to take a quick dash to the loo, she could just tear off a piece of her "gown". hehehe..
ReplyDeleteBut that's really amazing stuff, though. I, for one, would never imagine making a dress out of toilet paper. Mesti this one 8-ply punya. :D
Nessa, can tahan or not? I think I'd be too worried about it tearing to be comfy in one! ;) Some of them are nice though!
ReplyDeleteThey're more like artwork then eh?
ReplyDeleteShemah - She can also donate toilet paper to all her guests as well... LOL
ReplyDeleteYeah, I would never have thought of making a dress out of paper, let alone toilet paper for that matter!
Marzie, I won't be moving so much if I were to wear this!:) I like the 1st & the 4th dress.
ReplyDeleteMenopausePrincess - Yes, more appropriate for mannequins in shops:)
