I was thinking of home and my dad the whole day today. I guess I'm homesick... I went back last March but it was a sad occasion (my sis husband's passed away). Every time I call home, my dad would always ask me when I'll be back or if I'll be home for Christmas. I wish I could go back every few months. Anyone here owns a plane? Maybe I could borrow for a few days! LOL
I also miss my flowers back home! (Don't laugh). Before I left for KL, I've planted quite a lot of flowers and some given by my sister. My prized possession is a wild orchid and my mom's Bougainvilleas. It has been around for as long as I can remember. Sometimes, I tend to talk to the flowers... you must think I've gone cuckoo! Hehehe... It can be very stress-relieving at times. I'm not crazy, I'm just an emotional person. I get easily affected by things like getting angry or moody when the sun is so hot coz I'd be perspiring profusely. Yeah, sounds stupid, I know:)
And today, when I went to the bank, I got pissed off with this old man soliciting for donation at the bank's entrance. I mean I've already said 'No, thank you (nicely) and still he kept asking every time I passed him (which was about 6 times). I got so fed up and told him ( in an irritated voice) that I didn't have any money. He thinks I have money just because I went to the bank... grrrr... I'm normally very accommodating but today's just not one of my better days:(
.
Oh.. I know how you feel sis.. same here.. i miss everything and everyone back home! Geez!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for skypne and other cheap telephone provider over the net, it's not as hard but nothing compares to seeing face and face and especially with the special round table at home where we spent our quality time with them.. oh and the food! LOL
I am 600 miles from my Mom, 1400 from my Dad, 650 from oldest son, 1300 from youngest son, and about 850 miles from both sisters. I can totally relate. I get so homesick at times.
ReplyDeleteMy Mother is coming here for Thanksgiving and I am thrilled even though she and I have not been really close, I hope this will repair some of the hurt.
I have a new contest up at my blog. Check it out if you get a chance. Your readers are welcome to enter too!
I've never really lived away from home so I wouldn't really know what missing is like. I was born here, spent all my life here and I guess I'd probably miss home too if I ever went away anywhere else to live, but sometimes, if you're with a loved one, the missing part is not so bad, ya? :)
ReplyDeleteAww... I miss home too, Nessa. :(
ReplyDeleteHey, you're not alone on "talking to the plant" there. I talk to my plants too! I guess I got it from my mom. Heehee. I greet my plants everyday. If the plant bear flowers, I praise them. If the plant shows signs like it's going to die, I made fun of it. LOL!
Ohh.. those beggars annoys me too!
aduh.. kesian juga kalau miss2 kampung ni.
ReplyDeleteAnn - Oh, how could I forget the famous round table in the kitchen!:D
ReplyDeleteDari - I hope my boys won't stay away too far from me when they've grown up... it's a scary thought being away from them, and they're only 8 and 12!
ReplyDeleteHope your mom and you have some fun together. Happy Halloween!
Nick, yeah that's true. It's just that my dad is quite old already and I feel I should be close at his old age. My sisters are there, I know they take good care of him:)
ReplyDeleteCindy, kanou muhi kampung! Hehehe
ReplyDeleteGlad to know you're a 'plant talker' too:) I'm sure your plants get scared if they don't bear flowers... nanti kena marah! LOL
PapaJoneh - Kesian kami2 di KL cari makan bah. BTW I'm still unable to get through to your site:( I'll visit your blogspot saja la
