A Day At School...

This morning I went for my elder boy Form 1 registration at the school opposite my house. When we arrived, it was already packed with parents and their kids. I was kinda lost as they didn't put up any instructions or directions on where to go. Luckily, the school prefects were around to help with the bewildered and confused parents. I must say the prefects were really polite and one even wished me a good morning. It had such a great impression on me.

After queuing up for 10 minutes or so, our turn came and the teacher on duty processed the registration in about 5 minutes! I was amazed and surprised... before I came to the school, I psyched myself to be prepared for some problems. My son has learning disability and he needs to be placed in one of those special classes. The teacher understood and told me that there would make sure that my son would be placed accordingly.

They also gave comprehensive and informative leaflets to the parents, I got to know that this year the government will provide text books to all students irrespective of their parents' income. That was a great piece of news for me cos you should see the price of school books nowadays!

Before we left, we went to the school canteen, just to find out the type of food they serve. They had a pretty good fare on offer and we ordered chicken nuggets, cheese sandwiches and iced Nescafe. I left feeling unbelievably happy! I do hope my son will be able to learn much more from this school.
