Back in my childhood days, mom would always start spring cleaning the house early December for Christmas. The thing is she wouldn't ask for any help, she'd just quietly start cleaning the house and when we saw her doing that, we'd feel real guilty and of course, we'd all join in and help her. Guess she was one smart woman who knew how to get the better of us :)
Our wooden house gets dirty easily after after a year of neglect. We'd clean the walls, ceilings, the louvre windows (I hate this type of window), fan, drains... well, basically everything needed to be cleaned. They were back-breaking chores, I tell you!
Even the curtains would be replaced with new ones. My sisters would proudly say to each other, 'It's new again!' and got all excited!! Those days we didn't have the luxury to buy a vacuum cleaner. Imagine all the dirt/dust we've swept being blown away by the wind... we had to do it all over again. That definitely wasn't the part my sisters and I enjoyed. Thank God we didn't have carpets back then:).
If only we had one of those powerful Dyson vacuum cleaners. Even if it breaks down, I know I can always get vacuum cleaner parts from their online store. They have a full selection of parts and accessories. Cleaning up would be a breeze and be completed in a jiffy. The next spring cleaning session, I would even volunteer myself to do the vacuuming:). Sorry sis, vacuuming job is taken... you can clean those louvre windows! Hehehe
Gee, that sounds like some cool gadget. Now I feel like vacuuming myslef ... LOL!
