The Neverending Story

It has been an extremely exhausting day at school today :( Yeah, I have yet to complete my 'business' with the kids school. Not my fault... someone clearly didn't do his/her job resulting in major confusions and unnecessary visits to the school... sigh!

Last year, I mentioned about my son being registered in a special class. He has learning disability, at almost 13, he can barely read or write. So, I thought things were OK, I even got a letter from Education department that he would be enrolled in the special class.

Imagine my horror on the first day of school when he was put in a normal class. I questioned the class teacher, I even showed the letter from the Education department. She didn't even bat an eyelid and said the class was just temporary (her answer was not even convincing to me). She was more interested in collecting the school fees! I don't understand why some people these days don't bother to check out... you know, going the extra mile. It's not as if I'm asking for a million bucks... sheesh!! Grrr...

So, today I met the special class teacher herself (she was not around on the 1st day of school) and told her of my predicament. She was shocked as she was the one who recommended my son to be in her class. Apparently she didn't get any letter from the Education department. It seems no one got the letter except me... I wonder why.... such efficiency! Hmmph!!

I am really tired of people's lack of responsibility, I am normally very tolerant but I have my limits too. If things don't get settled tomorrow, someone's really going to get it from me. I can't take this anymore, it's a simple thing but NO one from the school is even capable of handling it.

I'm sorry for my constant rantings but I really had to get it out of my chest. Perhaps I should check out an online casino and play the One Arm Bandit to my heart's content. Sometimes a little fun moment could mend an angry heart like mine... well, I do hope so :)

  1. Hey Nessa..

    Yeah.. I can understand your frustration. There's alot of things that I can tolerate from other people.. but incompetence is one thing that can really get my blood boiling..

    Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day for you.. {{hugs}}

    I'd have felt the same way as you too if it happened to me. In fact I'd have given them 2 or 3 pieces of my mind even. Hope things get better soon :D

  4. Really frustrating.. I wonder what they are doing there! Sometimes, they take things for granted especially when they see someone who is tolerant.
    Next time, tell them off.. I think they will work better after that!
    Hope everything will be settled soon.

  5. Shemah - You've said it! That's the word I was looking for ~ Incompetence!

    I managed to settle things today (hopefully all is settled la). I felt so relieved after all the stress.

  7. Angie - Trust me, I get angry easily. I'm not exactly a patient person. The problem is, if I get angry, I have a hard time controlling myself.

    But you're right, I can't keep it to myself all the time. Just chill, they say... hmmm... I think I'm too old to chill! :D
