Why is it always such a frenzy when school reopens for the new semester? This is my second day of having to be at my kids' schools to attend to their schooling requirements. One thing I dislike is when certain things are unavailable... speaks volumes of the person in charge, as well as the school in general.
You know, even before school starts, the management should be well aware of what needs to be done. After all it's not like it's the first time they're doing this. But no, they never learn from their mistakes... that's why I think Malaysians (not all) are brainless. For example, the excuse of not having enough stock is so stale to me. And why do parents have to be so... (I don't even know what to call it)... take today for instance, I was queuing for my sons workbooks (which was stated as optional in the list) but optional is such a strange and unknown word for the school authorities!
There I was queuing and waiting for my turn patiently when these 3 ladies (I'm so generous, I should call them inconsiderate monkeys instead) just jumped in and gave an excuse that they know this little girl and they had to buy their kids' sports attire... one wanted green color, the other red, and the other blue... and they ranted and fussed about the size not suitable for their kids body, one too skinny, the other plump... bla, bla, bla!
Believe me, I was standing there for almost 1 1/2 hours, still patient, with my shoulder aching coupled with the annoying din from a construction site nearby. I so much wanted to tell them off for being rude, selfish and annoying grown up (?) women... but I kept my peace. Then, this guy queuing behind me sarcastically said, 'Oh ladies, take your time... please there are other colors available and sizes... don't mind us here... we've got all day to sit here and wait for you... we've only been queuing since God knows when!' I was so pleased to hear someone finally broke their silence :) That'll learn 'em...
Thank God they got the message and quickly went off... I was so tempted to clap and cheer and do the hokey pokey! LOL
So, if you ever see other people queuing, please don't jump queue and pretend as if it's the right thing to do because it is NOT. Thank you :) Enough of me ranting about this, I've got more important things to do right now like my dozens of assignments queuing (pun intended) for me... LOL!
.
:D If I were those women, I'd have been embarrassed by the comments that person gave. But then, since they were thick skinned enough to jump queue, what's a little sarcasm ... ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah! I can relate to this! Really annoying.. if I were you I'd say the same thing as the guy. I have no more patience with this type of people, should give them a piece of your mind.
ReplyDeleteJumping queue definitely is one of the most annoying things in my list!!!
ReplyDeleteargh!i hate that when it happens!i am not innocent all the time,i do tell them to back off sometimes lol.
ReplyDeletehahaha...i can really see my hubby in that sarcastic guy.
ReplyDeleteif it happens to me, the most i'd do would be showing the long face in front of the ladies. i am not that daring to just let my anger out :)
MD - Yeah, they deserved it... I'm not sure if it made any difference coz they left without apologizing or even ashamed of their actions.
ReplyDeleteAnn - I wish I had the guts to do it... I just don't like confrontations. Make love not war :$
ReplyDeleteCrystal - Yeah, mine too :)
ReplyDeleteShana - Good! Coz whenever I have to queue, I'd love to have someone like you next to me :D
ReplyDeleteCarol - Exactly what I did... tapi yang inda best, we yang rugi, tersiksa dalam diam kan :(
