Mummy Blues...

It's only February and I feel I need a vacation again. Ever since the boys went back to school, I've been busy, busy, busy. You would think that with the two of them starting school in January, things would have quietened down a little. At least you'd think that by the time I get back home, the house would be clean and tidy but no, it would be even worse. When the kids get home, they'll just litter the whole house from downstairs right up to their rooms with a trail of socks, bags, toys, etc, etc, etc.

The moment I get back, I'd have to be shouting at them to pick up every single thing or they're not going to get any dinner at all. Oh yeah, did I mention that I have to cook dinner too? It ain't easy being a mother. I'm sure all you mothers out there would surely know what I'm babbling about, especially if you have two very hyper active boys whom you have to keep yelling at all the time. Now you know why I need a holiday. I really need to wind down and rest someplace quiet faraway from here. And I'd go all by myself so I could just sit back and enjoy myself with no one bugging me for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

A nice good place to go would be to go somewhere in the US for a holiday. I've never been to the US in my entire life and I'll bet it'll be a great vacation spot. Maybe look into one of those South Carolina vacation rentals, Hilton Head Island vacation rentals or Myrtle Beach vacation homes packages and see what they have to offer. From what I've read so far, it seems like a nice destination to be heading to. Now, does anyone know where I can print some money? LOL!

I'm sure those vacations cost quite a bit, especially for someone like me. Looks like I'm just going to have to have my vacation in my own house after all... sigh!

  7. Marzie - If I didn't have commitments, I would gladly go and enjoy myself. I think by the time I could afford a vacation, I'd be too old to move around! LOL

  8. Hi Aunty J. Welcome to Mumblings :) Well, kids are a handful at times. I guess I'd be complaining of loneliness when they've grown up (empty nest syndrome). I dread to think about it :(

Thanks for dropping by. Have a nice day :)

  9. Hi, nice mumblings and taking a break. I took a break by trekking in the Borneo rainforest stumbling into a young Japanese, a Czech couple and an American couple. But the tv and the mobile could not reach me. For more stories check my blog www.wildborneo.blogspot.com

  13. hi nessa. u have two..i have three. I discovered something lately, that I like to yell at them. I think the higher pitch voice is the minimum. So far, although having them are handful but still I adore them. Can't leave and live without them (except to work of course). Hubby has been very helpful which helps to reduce my stress level.

  14. Hi Sharon :) Welcome to Mumblings! It would be a miracle if I didn't yell just for one day... hehe. It's exhausting, I know the kids don't enjoy it but when I do try to talk nicely, they get all over me. Even become worse than ever. So, what do we do, kan? But we marah pun because we love them ya.
