My Little Sportsman

I was surprised when I received a letter from my son's school yesterday. What's the surprise? Well, he was selected to represent the school for their annual sports meet for special kids. Apparently he was chosen to participate in the shot putt category.

That's a first! He has been training for the past couple of weeks, judging by the amount of times he's been using his sports attire for school everyday. The meet will be held at a certain school in Serdang next month so I am really looking forward to it. It warms my heart that he's able to join in activities lately. He was such a loner in the previous school.

While he may not win the event (but who knows), for me he's already a winner by getting involved in things he has never done before. I hope for many bigger things for him in future.

  10. Ann - This is what I've been waiting for to happen to him, for him to be involved in activities, learn to socialise. Dulu dia slalu kena ejek2 by the 'normal' kids. Must have been tough for him then but I'm glad that phase is over :)
