I'm not a shopaholic, thank God for that. I can't imagine myself being Becky Bloomwood of Confessions of a Shopaholic and what she went through. Sure it's so much fun shopping but when it gets out of hand, it's no fun at all.
When you don't have loads of spare cash to spend, you'll learn to live within your means... but that doesn't mean I have not splurged on unnecessary things before.
I've busted my credit card limit several years back but have managed to pay every single cent I owed to the particular bank. Getting yourself free from the 'clutches of evil' sure is a relief, I was deliriously happy when I finally received a letter declaring that I'm debt-free. It was like I got a second chance in life! :D I vowed never to touch a credit card ever again.
OK, moving on a different subject which I'm sure you ladies would love. Did you know that black friday falls on November 27th this year? That's a day after Thanksgiving and stores in the US will hold a nationwide online SALE. Yeah, I love that word... it's music to my ears! LOL! So, no more queuing for hours to get that drop-dead gorgeous evening gown or the numerous items you can find at BestBuy deals.
.
Geez and I thought something bad happened ... Black Friday sale pulak ... LMAO!
ReplyDeleteIt'll be good if they had this over here, ya? But then we got our Malaysian Grand Sale or something like that la ... hehehe ...
Thank gawd I'm not a shopaholic too, but i love window shopping XD
ReplyDeleteNessa! I salute u for paying back every single cent on ur CC bill! I'm still struggling here, so many things to buy and so many CCs to use lol! ;)
ReplyDeleteSALE!! My favourite four letter word.. AFTER the F-word of course!!
ReplyDeleteExcuse me ah..
...I mean FOOD! LOL!
Anyways, last time I used to be an impulse buyer, though not so bad as Becky (Thank GOD!) but enough to cause my wardrobe to be filled up with never before worn stuff. I'm a lot more conscience about shopping these days!! I guess having kids does that to you, huh? ;)
ya ya... looking forward to it too! :-) I don't quite like shopping but a sale is different! hehe
ReplyDeleteSpiff ~ Yeah, it's actually the exact opposite... hehe. Well, you know, we women love sales! Our Malaysian Grand Sale not so grand la, and we still have to go out of the house.
ReplyDeleteMaslight ~ Sama la kita, tapi kalau ada duit extra-extra tu, pandai juga overspend kan :D Window shopping nice also but bikin sakit hati if you see something real nice and you can't afford it!
ReplyDeleteMarzie ~ It took years to pay it all off... it wasn't easy but I'm relieved it's settled! I feel like celebrating :D
ReplyDeleteShemah ~ Oh, sale and food go hand in hand whenever we go out... after all, we need all the energy after all that hard work looking for the best bargains... hehe
ReplyDeleteOh, that's so true. Having kids sure changes our priorities.
Sting ~ 'Sale' is like a magnet for us... our brain goes haywire whenever we see those signs! LOL!
