I've always loved singing for as long as I can remember.
I remember joining a mock contest between my relatives (I think I was about 13 years old then) and I sang this old song called 'Edelweiss'. And I won :D I didn't win anything but I was really happy with the win. That was my one and only experience singing in public, well, sort of public even though there were only a few spectators, the contestants included.
Then my dad bought this karaoke set (complete with a mini organ and a microphone) several years later. I can't remember much details but I do know my sisters and I had a blast 'karaoke-ing'... hehe. It can be quite intimidating whenever someone hands you a mike but with just my sisters around, I sang like it was nobody's business :D

Yeah, it's worth to made friends around.
As for Singing, I did participate in Singing competition before, but didn't win...because I was having a great stage fear.
The teacher was disaapointed with me, because she was expecting me to win...
I could only do well in my class but not in a big crowd.
Anyway, I am so much better, a more confident person.
Time changes, time also heals my little soul...I just love to sing to my students while playing the pop songs.
