Remember Nurin Jazlin? It's been so long and yet her case is still pending. She is long gone but her killer is still on the loose. What about little Syarlinie? We haven't heard from her for almost a year now and my heart goes out to her parents. It is heart-wrenching for any parent to lose a child and not knowing his/her whereabouts.
I had an unpleasant experience earlier this year, I nearly lost my eldest son who is a special child in a shopping complex but I was fortunate he found his way back and managed to find me. For that mere 5 minutes, only God knows how I feel... it was truly hellish for me. I could not even imagine the stress and trauma the parents of Nurin and Syarlinie go through every day. My prayers go out to them.
In the US alone, within each and every city lives at least one sexual predator. That's an estimate of about 644,865 sexual predators living in the US according to their National Statistics! Unfortunately, I do not have the statistics for Malaysia but I do believe we may have a big number of perverts living among us too.
Browse through the papers and you will definitely read gory stories on abduction, rapes and murders of innocent and helpless children on a daily basis. How I wish Malaysia has a Sexual Predator Search similar to the one in the US!
This report is very comprehensive as it includes : ~
*Current housing location of ALL sex offenders living in your area
*Email alerts when sex offenders relocate into your neighborhood
*Latest photos of sex crime offenders
*Details of the sexual crime that was committed
*Specifics of Offender's arrest date and court proceedings
*Nicknames and aliases of sexual offender
By law, it is actually a right to know and have the information of these sexual offenders and in the US, it is called the Megan's Law and has been implemented since 1994. I pray that one day, Malaysia too will have such a bill. By being aware of the dangers, that information is crucial to protect our family and our loved ones.

I agree, they should have a list like this over here cos we have so many of these perverts around preying on little girls. At least it will be a way to identify these sex offenders!
