My Date

Yesterday I finally got to meet Emila Yusof in person, the brilliant creator of the RSS Dolly and the talented lady behind Emila's Illustrated Blog. We set a 'date' at Summit USJ and she graciously treated me at Uncle John Kopitiam (...maybe Uncle Lim's brother??). Thank you for the yummy Money Bag!

She personally presented me the gifts which I won for her blog's Top First Commenter for April and May, a Wall Art Decal and a Cake Towel. Perhaps next time someone would kindly sponsor a necklace since TH sponsored a unique Ring last month . Spiff is so lucky this month since the prize is something absolutely yummy... cupcakes!!!!

I got to meet Yassin and Emila's other half too, which was a total surprise because I thought I was only going to see her. Yassin was truly hyper, but sweet. He's very friendly and not afraid of strangers, definitely not the shy type. It was funny seeing him eating a melting ice-cream in a cone and even tried to put sugar on it! It really reminded me of my youngest boy... I should have brought him with me. I'm sure my son and Yassin would have clicked instantly and turned Summit upside down! LOL!

Initially I was shy to meet her. I'm a totally private person by nature and rarely meet strangers on such a short notice. But Emila is not really a stranger to me. I may have not met her but the banters and daily exchanges we made at her blog made me feel at ease with her. There were awkward moments but it's only understandable cos it's our first meeting. I'm sure we'll be yakking away nonstop if given the opportunity to meet again, maybe with other bloggers who always hang out at her blog... hehehe

I had so many things to ask her but I totally forgotten most of them. Heck, I even forgot to take our pictures; I just bought a new handphone (the old one was too ancient it didn't even have a camera). I should have asked for her autograph too... that's what you get when you're nervous!
