I'm So Hungry I Could Eat A Horse!

Looks yummy doesn't it? But looks can be deceiving. Unless of course you're the type who eats anything. It's stir fried snake! Yikes! I can't even get myself to look at snakes, let alone eat one. nailbyte

I remember eating a turtle some years back. Yeah... but that was without any knowledge that it was a turtle. I think I was 14 or maybe 16 years old, just woke up from sleep and feeling very hungry. My feet automatically brought me to the kitchen and I saw on the stove, this huge wok with steaming curry in it. The smell was magnificent so I took a bowlful and ate to my heart's content.

Minutes later, my mom (or was it my dad...but it could be one of my sisters too) saying that they didn't know I eat turtles! Haaack... Thuiii!!! I dashed to the sink and tried with all my might to throw up every trace of the dish from my system. I felt so bad and pukey... I just ate a turtle.cry How could anyone cook and eat an innocent creature???

When it comes to food, I am definitely not the adventurous type. I'd stick with chicken, fish, seafood (except clams) and oink-oink meat. I've heard someone said rabbit meat tastes like chicken. But how could anyone eat rabbits?? They're such cute animals!

And to answer Bain and Emila, no, I have never eaten a Kuda (horse) before! heehee

  3. I've been in that situation before. Eating something I don't know. I've seen snake meat before, it looks like fish or maybe eel. But I never eaten before. No way in a million years I would do that. But I've eaten frogs before, taste like chicken. And I've eaten rabbits not by choice, yeah like chicken. Hmm, I don't think I ever eat any turtles before. @_@"""

  12. I took rabbit meat before. Tasted good, someone ordered this dish not my parents but I just tried and ate a few more...
But pitty all the animals, they all have life, not that rabbit is cute and shouldn't deserve to be eaten, I mean we must judge by the content but not the cover.
If so, come we become a true calling vegetarian of the above!

  17. Crystal ~ Bluweekkkk indeed!! LOL!

I think kari jadi pilihan sbb it's spicy and boleh mengurang rasa honsi/hanyir. Betul tu, beringat la kalau buka periuk... jangan trus hantam the food, mo kana tanya dulu si tukang masak... hehe

kesian ko temakan daging yang nda sepatutnya buli dimakan... tapi buli dimaafkan baitu sbb nda sengaja.

  18. Anny ~ Nampak so sedap kan... but once you know it's snake, my selera go 'poof!'

i think if no choice we would have to eat them. but i hope it won't get to that level. i'd gladly eat grass than eat horses, rabbits and turtles!

Itulah, why didn't tell them to cook the turtle curry style?? :P

  22. Yoon See ~ I need strength and willpower to become a vegetarian. I wouldn't mind eating sayur only... maybe dat way I could lose some weight and be trim and slim :D

  23. Emila ~ Tapi kalau I diberi pilihan, dua-dua pun tak mau :*(

Daging kuda is considered taboo in some cultures. Some say it's even poisonous. Ni sumber dari wikipidia.

  24. I just stick to chicken, fish & sometimes lamb. Eating a rabbit makes me feel like eating a pet dog, that's harsh & torturing! :-(
