Son: Mommy, the wall got paint
Mommy: Paint? Why did you paint the wall? (with a slightly raised voice)
Son: Errr... I was drawing and then the paint kena the wall
Mommy: (Trying hard to conceal anger) How did that happen? Where were you drawing?
Son: (long pause) On my table
Mommy: How on earth did the paint fly from the table to the wall? Your color got magic is it??!
Son: Errrr... (face trying hard to come up with an excuse)
Mommy: Look, if you've done something wrong just admit it. Don't come up with a silly excuse and expect mommy to believe it!!
Son: (speechless)
I admit when it comes to disciplining my boys, I can be very strict at times. Some have said my face resembles a dragon ready to swallow its victim whenever I'm in one of my fiery moods. Well, looks can be deceiving... hehehe
I must thank my son later. At least I had something to blog about on this boring Saturday!
*pssstttt Darren*... always draw behind doors and hard to find places... walls that are nearer to the floor.. mommies dun check there :)
ReplyDeleteWah, Anny... how did you know it was Darren?? :D Terror la you.
ReplyDeleteWhat?? You ni give tips some more... grrrr... LOL!
mesti le Darren.. cos he has the cheeky face.. hhahahahaa
ReplyDeleteUrrmmm.. you could find a spare wall.. and let them be expressive there :) it is very good for creativity (and a mighty big canvas).. and sweet memories for u when they are all grown up one day.
ReplyDeleteWall art...it's the newest trend!
ReplyDeleteLOL
I bet it's hard for a little guy to come up with a good story when he's standing fact to face with a dragon....lol
ReplyDeleteGotta love those real life stories. Even the worst of them we eventually can look back on and laugh.
Boys will be boys! They always find an excuse for things they did wrong. The good thing is it made for a good post. Haha!
ReplyDeleteDuni ~ Hmmm... you're right when you put it that way :)
ReplyDeleteAnny ~ You've got that right!
ReplyDeleteI bought him reams and reams of A4 papers, drawing blocks... even dat erasable magnetic board tapi the dinding juga yang menjadi pilihan!
If cantik takpe juga, ni garis2 and conteng2 only la. He's into abstract art perhaps... hehe
Ann ~ Well, I suppose I'd react the same way. I've had my fair share of 'excuses' when I was at his age ;)
ReplyDeleteMy dad was super-strict then... I guess I inherited that 'dragon' look from him! LOL!
Tetcha ~ Yeah, thank goodness my son is a brat at times... LOL!
ReplyDeleteKesian bah dia, tapi nda pa la, itula namanya ada mommy kan, bulih mengadu pastu kena marah2 pastu nanti kena bodek lagi mommy dia hihihihiii...
ReplyDeleteCrystal ~ Anak bungsu besa la otomatik jadi anak manja. Lali suda telinga dia tu kana sound... hehe
ReplyDeletehee heee...
ReplyDeleteYou might wanna re-think how strict you are about things like that, because I remember this one time when I was 7 years old, I spilled my mommy's glass of lemonade, and she got soooooooooo mad!!!!!! I have NEVER forgotten how bad the look on her face made me feel!!!!!
Charity ~ I think my son has gotten used to my fierce face, cos he's back at drawing on the walls and the tables... sighhhhh
ReplyDeleteI have tried the soft and gentle approach but I get bullied instead. Kids these days :)
