A Fishy Story

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of HealthyTuna.com. All opinions are 100% mine.

When it comes to seafood, my favorite is definitely prawns. I'm not so much into fish. Some fish have that fishy taste even after you've cooked them properly. That doesn't include Tuna though because it has that unique taste which is so different from other fishes. Strangely enough it actually tastes like chicken!

Here's my favorite Tuna recipe. I love it because it is so easy to prepare. Anything that's easy to prepare is always on my list of favorites... hehehe

Ingredients
  • 1 can of Tuna in spring water
  • 1 can of Cream of Celery soup
  • 500g bag of pasta (any types)
  • 1/2 cup of grated cheddar cheese
Directions
  • In a large pot, cook pasta, strain and set aside.
  • In the same pot over a low heat, add in a can of tuna and cream of celery soup, stir well.
  • Add the cooked pasta to tuna, soup mixture. Mix well.
  • Put the mixture into a baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese and place in a moderate oven for 10 mins.
  • Remove and serve immediately.
I also just read an interesting article on healthy tuna and how beneficial it is for pregnant women to eat seafood/tuna during their pregnancy. A recent study found that pregnant mothers who excludes seafood from their diet were nearly 50 percent more likely to have symptoms of depression than those who ate seafood at least three times per week. I'm not pregnant but I do get easily depressed. Hmmm... perhaps I should eat more fish?? think

Other benefits of eating seafood include: lowering cholesterol level thus reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, dementia, depression, neuropsychiatric disorders, asthma and inflammatory disorders. However, do avoid seafood high in mercury (swordfish, shark, king mackerel, tilefish) which is unsafe for pregnant women and young children. Just be careful of the types of fish you consume and as with all food, moderation is the key.
