They say, two heads are better than one so maybe you guys can help me 'clear' things up because I totally can't think for myself let alone make a decision.
I have a major dental problem. I need to fix my teeth... not just two, or three but four... maybe even five! OK, before I go on any further, just let me clear one thing first... I am NOT asking for donations to see a dentist ya.
OK, here's the situation:
I have 2 teeth which are totally broken, the crowns/heads are completely gone except the base/roots. I left them as they are because I thought the base would eventually dissolve. Now the roots are infected (duh!) causing me major super duper pain and my gum is swollen.
Another 2 teeth have holes in them that require patching job which is not a problem to me. I also have another tooth that is partially broken and that one requires major repair, probably root canal treatment, implant or perhaps crowning/bridging (I feel as if I'm talking about constructions sites! LOL!). I know dentures are cheaper but I do not want to wear dentures!
I went for a root canal treatment a few years ago (back in my hometown in Sabah) and it cost me RM400 for that one miserable tooth. I have no idea how much all of these will cost me but I'm bracing myself. I hope I won't get a heart attack when the dentist tells me the amount.
It's my fault for delaying things and now things have become worse. I have a high tolerance for pain but this time, the pain is too much for me to bear. If you were in my shoes, what would you do?
By the way, anyone knows a good dentist in Subang, PJ or USJ areas??
Sunway ada.. near my office... same row with McDs.. he's a good dentist.. clean and careful.. but he still charges a bomb.

go fix them one by one... whatever that is broken should be fixed else it will get worse. No need la do all at once...patch up the 2 lobang first... then go another week.. when the gums tarak swollen.. u got to take out the ones that are buried.. and when u have saved enough dough... then only do implants. Man.. u sure can tahan lotta pain.

ReplyDeleteI have a tooth that the dentist recommended a crown be put on but the cost for doing just that one tooth was really high so I never did it. I usually put things off longer than I should also. I would just start with the worst and work on getting them fixed one by one.
ReplyDeleteomg nessa, toothache is one of the penyakit yg i dread the most. if fever, you take paracetamol, you can sleep with it. kalau sakit gigi, smpai tia buli tidur. mo menangis2 lagi....

nessa!!! i know how it feels!!! They are the smallest things but they cost a lot to repair or even cabut!
ReplyDeleteNessa! Hai2! My gigi pun banyak mo undergoing 'construction' la heeheee... Sana sini root canal, ada yang pecah sudah. Habis la if sya pi jumpa my dentist mesti dia kasi ketawa ni, bukan marah. Buang duit seja, but betul tu, if sakit gigi, semua system dalam badan pun sakit ohhh, so, jangan tunggu lama2. Buat satu2 terutama yang swollen tu. Memang terpaksa juga buat RCT tu.

Yup, I think I shud patch the lobangs dulu cos they're the ones giving me much grief.
Marzie ~ more than rm800 la dear. Heart pain ni... nak wat surgeri to take out the remaining broken teeth... bridging lagi, tu blum masuk implant lagi kalau tak leh bridging... hedeks betol! :'( Memang tak mo pakai dentures ... geli laa... hehehe
