I was watching the videos of NKTOB and sang along with their hits... My Favorite girl, Cover Girl, Be My Girl, Please Don't Go Girl. Notice the word girl over and over again?? I couldn't help but feel giddy with excitement. I remember it was the early 90's and The New Kids were the 'it' group back then. I was still able to remember all the lyrics of their songs and falling head over heels over Jordan Knight and Joey McIntyre all over again. Even my youngest boy had this amused look on his face; he was probably thinking mommy has gone nuts...
Gosh, I feel SO old. No, don't get me wrong... I'm not sad. It just feels so surreal at times. Time really flies. Listening to old songs (OK, not really that old, cos most of them were hits 20 years ago) made me feel how much I've grown up... I've grown older and wiser too (I think). I have 2 wonderful boys, I also have more wrinkles, white hairs, back pain, creaky knees, failing eye sight and sagging... errr, I think I had better not even mention that! LOL!
I suppose once I hit 39, I'll feel 'normal' again. Heck, it's not like I'm turning 50!
Before I go, I leave you with a video of Joey McIntyre singing Cover Girl. My! My! That cute lil boy has certainly grown up to be a hunk. Oh, those dreamy eyes and angelic voice... ahhhh, I'm giddy with excitement again.
