Resistance Is Futile

I just finished watching the latest season (season 17) of The Amazing Race. Gosh, that pageant girl (Mallory Ervin, Miss Kentucky 2009) just can't seem to shut her mouth... she's wacky, loud but I like her! LOL! I almost forgot the show starts tonight at 7pm... all the while I thought it would be aired at 9pm. Phew!

September is starting to be a reality show galore month for me. There's The Biggest Loser Asia Season 2 on Tuesday and The Amazing Race Asia Season 4 on Thursday and soon American Idol season 10! It won't be long before I challenge Jennifer Lopez's derriere...

American Idol Season 10 just announced its new judges and from what I've read from the various forums and blogs, there's a lot of haters on the new female judge Jennifer Lopez.

Some have already decided not to watch the show because of her. I'm not a fan of Ms. Lopez but I am a fan of American Idol. The show hasn't even been aired yet (auditions... yikes!) so I can't simply join the rest of the haters bashing the show because of one particular judge. The show is about the talents, not the judges.

There's also news from a trusted source that the local production of the reality show Akademi Fantasia season 9 is also on the cards. I totally gave up on the previous season because they totally changed the show's format. I didn't watch the weekly diary and even shunned the weekly concerts. But I am hoping that they will revert to the original format of the show and stop being a copycat of American Idol. I do remember telling myself I will never watch Akademi Fantasia anymore but I was a fan for 7 seasons so I guess one can never say. Once you're a true fan... well, resistance is futile...
