Teddy bears, we all love them! I'm sure at some point of our lives, we've either given out or received teddy bears as gifts from loved ones. But just how much are you willing to fork out for one?
I've never bought anything more than RM50! It's the thought that matters they say... a good excuse for those who are short on cash or just plain stingy... hehehe
The bear above is touted to be the world's most expensive teddy bear. Just how expensive? I'd let you know a little later. To give you an idea, the bear's fur is made of 'real' gold thread, and the eyes are studded with sapphires and yes, diamonds too!! Phew!!!
The German company which created this expensive bear only produced 125 pieces so if you have the cash to spare maybe you should place the order ASAP. Me on the other hand, I fancy the normal bears. The most expensive bear I have is from the RUSS collection.
So, here's the catch, the price tag is a whopping £43,000 ($85,000). You'd have to really be totally head over heels, 'out of your insane mind' in love with someone to actually wanna buy this bear for her/him! Unless of course you're a millionaire with loose change to spare.
And the funny thing is I've never even heard of Steiff bear (maybe I've been living under a shell for far too long. LOL!) Whatever compelled them to make such an expensive 125th anniversary edition, god alone knows.

Wow, I wouldn't wanna spend so much money on that too. :P But if someone insist on buying me one, it would be great! :D
ReplyDelete£43,000 for a bear??? You got to be kidding me! Only an insane person would buy this as a show of love ... LOL! If I did have that bear, it would be locked up in a safety deposit box ... hehehe ...
ReplyDeleteYou'd really have to be deep in love with someone to fork out that kind of dough :) Who in their right mind would buy such an expensive and useless gift? You probably can't display it for fear of it being stolen. Like that mat dingo fellow said, a safety deposit box is the safest place for it :)
ReplyDeleteWHAT???£43,000 for a bear??? i know my bf love me but still i ketuk kepala dia if he buys me one!better pigi holiday lagi bagus!!or beli rumah kah , apa kah..a bear??aisehmennn...
ReplyDeleteHi Nessa! Oh me too, have not heard of this Steiff bear before, so that makes two of us living under a shell!
ReplyDeleteI will NEVER buy such an expensive teddy bear. I'd much rather go for an luxury vacation than buying this teddy bear, no matter how cute it is. And it's not that cute la ha ha ha....
Cindy - True! People give, just take la... rezeki jangan ditolak:)
ReplyDeleteMD - It's damn expensive, so keeping it in a safe box is a wise thing to do. Or else the bear will lose its eyes and fur!
7th Heaven - Makes me wonder if a millionaire would even consider to buy it...
Shana - Hi! You oredi balik ah? Banyak shopping? I agree, going for a holiday or pig out in expensive restaurants would be better... hehehe
Mariuca - Yeah, the RUSS bears that I have are so much more cuddlier:)
If someone buy this bear for me, I would go and sell it back and ask for the money instead! LOL
ReplyDeleteNessa! I know, I have one Russ bear in a nice shade of pinkish red... and it's really MUCH better than this one. Sorry Steiff teddy ;)
ReplyDeleteAnn - Hahaha... that's a good one:)
ReplyDeleteMariuca - Pinkish red bear, wow! Surely gets everyone's attention:)
Yeah la Nessa, it's more of a Rusty color come to think of it and it was a gift ;)
