Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to all of you who celebrate this holiday!

I've never celebrated Halloween before. The carved pumpkin is definitely the icon for Halloween. For me when someone mentions Halloween, I'll immediately think about creepy creatures and all things scary.

Makes me wonder why do people celebrate something that is so scary. Why do they say 'trick or treat? What happens if I say 'trick'... do I perform tricks to the kids? Anyone care to explain?

The fun part of Halloween for me (based on what I've seen on movies, TV) is you get to wear those great costumes. If I were to wear one, I'd go as a witch! But of course:)

  1. Trick or Treat, Nessa!! :D Happy Halloween! Shemah's and my fave holiday during our childhood days! I SO miss trick or treating! I don't really know the history behind it but when we did our trick or treating, we loved going to houses that were decked out in the most scariest decor! Like what you said, a trick literally means doing a trick! But it was the kids who played a trick on the grownups. Sometimes it was the grownups who played tricks on us. We had one neighbor who'd have one baby snake in one hand and a candy in the other so we had to pick one or the other! Nowadays though, some kids only know about the free treats and not the trick.. So yeah, it's basically like that. Hehe..

Gosh.. that was my longest comment ever.. Maybe I should make a post about it.. :P

  2. One of the thing I love Halloween is that we get to give away the less (delicious) favorite sweets that we had for months (no worries, none of them expired yet!).. so we could buy new sweets! LOL
Yay! we will do that tonight!
