It breaks my heart every time this happens. People never seem to learn from past incidents.
Yet another child has disappeared from a playground near her house last Wednesday. Police believed she was abducted by someone known as The Catman, a man who lures little girls by pretending to find his missing cat; asking for the unsuspecting girls for help and rewarding them with ice-creams.
Let's pray that Sharlinie returns safely. We don't want another Nurin Jazlin tragedy!
Another one? The world sure doesn't seem like a nice place to live in nowadays, ya? It saddens me to read something like this. I do hope they find the poor child and catch the culprit soon!
ReplyDeletehmmm...now a days made me worried...if i when shopping at the mall also my eye will be glued to my doter...scary now a days..even is she wants to go to the playground alos i dont allow...erghh...
ReplyDeletehoping she can be home soon
ReplyDeleteScary thought!!! I just hope she is safe.
ReplyDeletelets pray together that she'll come home safe..
ReplyDelete*sigh*
ReplyDeleteIt's never safe to let your child away from your eyes even for just five minutes now.
May she is safe and be found very soon.
MD - I hope so too... so far, no news of the girl and the culprit. Time is of essence... tick, tock, tick, tock... I'm scared for her, I can't even imagine what her parents are going thru...
ReplyDeleteMom's World - We need to be extra careful now... I still let my boys go to the playground (only on weekends).
ReplyDeleteEven with the security guards around, I'm still worried about them but I can't keep them cooped up at home all the time. At least the eldest is 13, he can keep an eye on the brother.
Hazel - Yeah, let's hope and pray nothing bad has happened to her.
ReplyDeleteCrystal - Scary indeed! The year has just started and this happened... I do hope the authorities will catch the culprit soon.
ReplyDeleteShana - Let's do that. May Sharlinie be found soon.
ReplyDeleteCarol - We can't afford to let our guard down these days.
ReplyDeleteWe're so fortunate during our childhood years, it was safe and carefree. I could go to the shop on my own, go to my friends house for hours and my mom never even got worried about me. There was no reason to.
Now, criminals are everywhere preying on little girls... why ah?? So sad kan :(
