Identification Please

First, it was sugar, then flour... now it's cooking oil (Palm Oil)! What's next? Ikan masin (Salted fish)??! Oh, I love ikan masin by the way... hehehe

This picture taken from a local Malay daily, Kosmo! speaks volumes for the cooking oil situation in the country. Imagine you have to line up and present identification before you can buy cooking oil!

What I don't understand is Malaysia is one of the world's largest palm oil producer and yet this happens... Malaysia Boleh!

  9. Ann - Actually, this happened in Rantau Panjang, in Terengganu (I think).

So far, I'm able to buy cooking oil without any need to present my IC in KL. I hope it won't happen here, such a hassle... like you said.
