Most of you who've been reading my blog since the first day I started would know that I come from a small town in East Malaysia. And you guys would also know that at one time during my child hood I used to help my parents harvest rice in a small plot of land that we owned. It was hard work and I never liked it one bit. Toiling under the hot sun for hours after school, sweaty and itchy and all that. I swore to myself that I never want to work a huge land doing stuff like that again.
Well, to be honest, I actually would love to live or even own a nice piece of land some place quiet where I could work of it. Something really far away from the hustle and bustle of this city, maybe start my own little farming industry, rear some animals and be a country girl. Now a huge piece of land, that would just be too difficult to maintain, just a nice sized one, with its own small little farm house, a barn and loads of trees. And especially away from the noise and franticness of the city.
I'm in desperate need of some quiet peace of mind. Living in this city is driving me a little crazy and I'm getting depressed all the time. The thing is, I don't know of anywhere here that has such a place. And even if I did, I can't afford to even buy a bucket full of dirt let alone a whole land! LOL!
But I guess if you were in Arizona, then you'd be in luck cos the amount of Arizona Land out there for you to buy and start your own little ranch is just enormous! You don't have to go far to find land Arizona property, just take a quick hop online to www.azlandcompany.com and they'll be able to help you as they have the most comprehensible list of land for sale in Arizona. After all, they've been selling land here for close to 15 years now and they do know what they're talking about. And they're also the experts of 1031 tax exchange so you know you'll be in good hands.
Sigh, seeing as how my bank account balance is nowhere close to being able to afford my own little plot of land, I'm just going to be satisfied with this tiny little rented garden for now. Anyone out there owns a ranch and would like to hire me as a farm hand? Or a Cowgirl maybe? LOL! And please, no harvesting of rice under the hot sun for me ya. That's strictly a no-no! :)
Ooooo, I love the idea of living on a nice little farm or ranch somewhere quiet. No noise, pollution and best of all, no pesky annoying neighbours ... LOL!
ReplyDeleteI've always fancied myself a cowboy, riding my horse all around the country side. Not that I can ride a horse mind you ... LOL!
ah tanam padi was the best time in my life. I just love going to padi field with grandpa..and sitting down in the hut. One thing i don't like thou...LINTAH!
ReplyDeleteNick - For your never ending neighborhood squabbles, I'd suggest you call up Spiff and he'll vaporize them with his super duper X-Ray gun or something! LOL
ReplyDeleteI love living in the countryside, minus the animals... well, except maybe a cat or a dog for companion :)
Emelda - I definitely miss going to the padi field (ppl tanam rumah instead these days), but not the heavy work. Those were the days where buffaloes were aplenty, and life was simple.
ReplyDeleteOh, I can't stand lintah. I went with my friends picking 'kaakatung' when I was about 9 or 10, when I saw the black bugger on my foot, I ran like a mad person, shouting for help! LOL
If ever I'll be living in this place. I should have car or truck to transport. Thank you for the a informative article.
