Who Let The Dogs Out??

This device is definitely handy for those who have lost their pets, in fact I posted about a wandering Bulldog just a few days ago. That poor Bulldog would have been found if he had this on :D And since we're on the subject of lost pets, it reminds me of cases of lost children as well. It is unfortunate that up till now we haven't heard any news of little Sharlinie and the boy, Asmawi. I dread to even think what happened to these helpless kids. I hope and pray that they're safe, somewhere... and would be found eventually.

While it probably may sound unacceptable to some, I've often wondered why our policemen don't consider using dog trackers to find those missing children. Maybe they did but it sure wasn't mentioned in any of the news reports. Dogs, for a fact have the sharpest sense of smell. I saw an episode of Mythbusters (this is one of my son's favorite show BTW) and this dog managed to track a guy (one of the wacky hosts) whom they've asked to cross streams, run for miles, went in circles, went through sheds and forests and climbed a tree to try to evade the dog. But the dog managed to find him in no time. Pretty amazing, I might say. Well, it's just a thought... if these canines could help then why not, right?

Well, maybe I should buy this GPS Dog Tracking System, or something similar to it and make my sons wear them, all in the name of safety. These days, it's not even safe to step out of your own gate. I hope to see more policemen patrolling our streets... I know I'm dreaming but I can dream, can't I? :D

  1. You have a valid point. How come they didn't use tracker dogs? And like you said, even if they did, they never mentioned it. I saw that same mythbusters episode and those dogs are pretty efficient. If anyone can find those poor missing kids, I'm sure good little sniffer dog would be of great help, right?

Oh and by the way, you've just been tagged by me again :D Check it out over here.

  6. That's a great idea.. I know there are hangbags sold with a tracking device. We should all have these kinda tracking devices, not just for kids.

Kesian those kids still missing and instead they wanna concentrate on that Sufiah Yusof and try to 'save' her! I bet she doesn't even wanna be saved! Unlike those two poor kids.. How twisted is that!!

  8. Nick - Yeah, sniffer dogs shud be able to find missing kids, as long as the parents report them immediately and not wait till the next day. Time is reali important.

Tagged, again? It had better be good... hehehe

  13. Syura - Reali? I want those bags!! Sia ingat dulu in UK they embed chips in kids... I think it's good, but once they're adults, boleh la dikasi keluar kan.

Yeah, wrong priority. Besides, she's an adult and it's her life, tia payah la masuk campur. Lain la kalau she was forced into it and she's begging to be rescued or something...
