I've been reading a lot of bloggers from Sabah who recently attended the Sabah Bloggers Gathering and I'm pretty envious of them. And the pictures they posted showed them all having a great party at the meet. Unfortunately I'm here in KL, so even considering going was out of the question. Maybe next year, if they have one that is.
And talking about parties and all that, would you guys believe I've never really been to any parties during my teenage years? Yes, not one single party. Back then it was the days of all those house parties and stuff. My parents were pretty strict about us going out for these things.
All of us were not allowed to attend parties or even throw any for ourselves, well except our eldest sister who got the privilege of celebrating her 19th birthday by having a party at home. Yes sis, you were the lucky one :D I remember back then all my friends would come to school and talk about this or that party they've been too and I'd happily soak up all their stories since I couldn't attend any of my own parties. Sad, I know.
It was only when I started working, my parents were a little more flexible with us but by then house parties were not the in thing and were more like a vintage thing. That was when clubbing started its debut. But then, clubbing just wasn't my thing. I did go out for a few parties and some clubs but I wasn't very interested in it. I guess by then my age was way past all these.
You guys WILL invite me to your parties now, won't you? I prefer costume parties though so nobody could recognize me... I still wanna remain anonymous! LOL!
.
No, i will not invite you; not with that t-shirt unless you dress up like a woman... joking. My parents were also very strike.. i went to the club party only when i have started working.
ReplyDeletebukan dulu2 femes yg party bawah kulung kah...hahaha...siap ada spot light and disco ball lagi...
ReplyDeletemy first clubbing experience, when i was 15! pigi hard rock lagi...hahaha...tapi mau tau, dress up mcm urg tua takut kedapatan.
I remember those house parties. I went to quite a few in my time and even organized some of my own ... hehehe ... It sure was a cool time la back then. As for the clubbing scene, I was never into them but there were times when my work took me to some of them ...
ReplyDeleteI'm also not much of a clubbing girl type too. I don't really fancy not being able to hear myself think. But once in a while, when the company is great, its great to let loose and have fun.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the t-shirt tag that Rozie tagged me with eons ago!!!! LOL!
Hello.. dropping by here..Thanks for checking back my site.. Take care and see u more often.
ReplyDeleteOh I miss my clubbing nights!! A friend recently tagged my photo at FB, one we took when we were out clubbing in London, terus terkenang zaman dulu boo hoo hoo! ;)
ReplyDeleteQueen Bee ~ Alala... like dat ka? Hehe. But seriously, I don't have any dress in my closet. Nanti you buy me one ya, size XXXL! LOL!
ReplyDeleteParents are protective, sometimes being way too protective. They mean well but I sure missed out on a lot of fun things back then.
Carol ~ Ya bah, yang di bawah kulung tu lah... hahaha
ReplyDeleteWah, hebat ko ni. My 1st experience pigi pub was during Christmas in the late 90's, bukan pigi clubbing tapi pigi Carolling di dalam pub! Can you imagine??!
Nick ~ It was the 'in' thing those days, and such a money saver too ya.
ReplyDeleteShemah ~ Yeah, so true. But the only drawback for me is I can't stand the smoke.
ReplyDeleteOh, I remember Rozie's T-Shirt tag alright. It was fun to do :)
Umma ~ Hi there! Great having you here, thanks :) Hope you had a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteMarzie ~ Clubbing in London? Wah, that must have been awesome :) I never got the chance to experience clubbing. There was one time my office mates and I was 'forced' to accompany the GM to a club in Sandakan. It was weird, cos I was his dance partner and he was so short! LOL!
