Of Seafood, Chefs & Recipes...

I think I'm a fairly decent cook. I mean, so far I haven't poisoned anyone with my cooking :D These days, it's not that hard to learn to cook as there are tons of websites on cooking alone. And cooking recipes are in abundance on the net, all you have to do is search for that particular dish.

Don't you just hate it when you run out of ingredients to cook? I love to cook but if there's not much to begin with, how can anyone expect us to come up with a decent meal ya. One rule when it comes to cooking, always buy the freshest of ingredients. Yeah, they're more expensive than the frozen ones but you get more taste and more nutrients.

And speaking of cooking, have you ever heard of the Great American Seafood cook off? Yes? No? Well, you can always just visit www.GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.com and find out more for yourself.

I checked it out and found my favorite recipe which is the Texas Gulf Shrimp created by Chef Mark Holley from where else but Texas :D Look at that picture below, how can anyone not like a Shrimp dish that looks so divine. Well, unless you're allergic to the stuff, then my heart goes out to you. LOL!

And if you're from the US of A, you can take part in the contest that can be found in the site and stand a chance to win a trip to New Orleans with an all expense paid trip. All you need to do is simply vote for your favorite recipe among the 5 listed there and that's it. Simple isn't it?

  1. The only place I feel totally comfortable cooking is my mother's kitchen back in Sandakan. :D It's so spacious, with an island and what have you. And her ingredients cabinet! I like! :D
