Till Death Do Us Part...

I have a lot of things that need to be done today. There's pants to alter, clothes to iron, a pair of shoes to buy and all this needs to be done by tomorrow morning before 8.00am. Why tomorrow, you may ask. Well, cos both my boys are going for their first holy communion celebrations.

They're both excited about it but I'm having a tough time just getting their things prepared and ready for them. They're required to be dressed in white long sleeves shirts and black pants which thankfully I bought quite a while back.

I have to alter my younger boys pants cos it's a little too long and I didn't want the shop to do it cos they'll just cut away the bottom and when he grows I'll have to buy a new pair for him and that's a waste of money. But being busy with work and all that, I've left that to the last minute. And now I'm rushing to get all these done. I could hardly breathe!

I still have to take him out to buy a pair of black shoes, which is also required by the church. Sometimes I think the church thinks all parents are rich. It's actually been a hectic week for me, the boys wise that is. They had to be in church on Wednesday for seating arrangements and choir practice after school and then yesterday they had the feast of reconciliation where they made their first ever confession to the priest.

It was a proud moment for me seeing my two boys doing their first confessions, it's sort of like a milestone. Earlier, I had practice sessions with them with me acting as a priest. Of course they weren't paying much attention then, giggling when I asked them to list out their sins! LOL! I was teary eyed seeing all the little kids, mostly nine year olds approaching the priests doing their confessions for the 1st time. I'm sure it was a nerve-wrecking experience for most of them :)

I'll be glad when all this is over. I don't remember having to do things like this in my time when I was preparing for my first holy communion. I guess the times have changed a lot since then.

Ok, I can't blog for too long. Still loads of things to do. The only reason I'm online is to get this thing about death certificate's done. This is morbid I know but if you have this desire to look up and find out if someone you dislike is really dead (LOL), then this site is just for you cos they have a database that includes a multitude of death certificates.

Well, of course that person you hate has to be in the US cos they don't have it here yet. Ok, now I really have to go. Wishing you all a great weekend :D
