We Are The World...

This lovely song never fails to get me teary eyed... more so when MJ is no longer around. I got to know MJ when I was 12 years old, having heard the song 'Ben'. I was moved that I asked my fellow classmate for the lyrics. That was sometime in 1983 and there was no such thing as the internet.

Then in 1985, we performed 'We Are The World' during a school function... well, we were lip-synching actually but I remember we had so much fun, dressing up like the singers characters. I totally forgot whose line I sang to... probably Tina Turner's but I can't really recall. Come to think of it, I can't remember who sang as MJ, Lionel Ritchie, Willie Nelson... but I'm pretty sure Susan B sang Cyndi Lauper's line.

Now, Emila from Emila's Illustrated Blog came up with a brilliant meme aptly calling it We Are The World. You see, she was inspired to gather as many bloggers from all over the world on a single list while playing this awesome game quiz 'Can you name the singers from ‘We Are The World‘?'.

I didn't do too well, scoring only 24 out of 36 but I think that's not too bad. Try it, you'll get the adrenalin rush cos you only have 8 minutes to name all the singers. And no cheating OK!
