The Note

Source: Telegraph.co.uk

Can somebody please, please take me out of this misery! What exactly is that note really trying to say?? I've been reading it for the past half hour trying to understand and I'm still dumbfounded.atwitshand

Here's what it says (in case you can't read the fine print) :

Honorific guest:
Please give the product cash to stage to take care of, before sleeping invite anti the lock the door lock, the door bolt comes the door bolt, close the window and put on to put the, otherwise, the risk is complacent.

Camp dish guest house

Errr... what the heck is a camp dish? What's with the hint anyway?? Not like it was much help, mind you. LOL!

I'm not trying to belittle whomever wrote that note but those of you who can read the Chinese characters please tell me what it says otherwise I'll be bugged by it the whole night.think

Update:

Buzzing J was kind enough to tell me the correct translation (coz he can read Chinese). happy

Dear Guests:
Please leave your valuables and cash at the front desk. Before you go to sleep, please lock and bolt the door, close all windows, ??? (don't quite understand this sentence), or else, bear your own risk.

  2. Ok, let me try to figure the note out, here goes, it means:

You have to give product cash and take the stage, and then sleep on your anti or uncle but don't forget to lock the lock door, otherwise the put on to the put monster will come get you and then you're in deep risk which you shouldn't be complacent about or you'll have to get a dish and camp out at the guest house.

Now you get it? No? Neither do I ... hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

  3. ehehe pening la.. tapi main agak jerr laa dia kata : kalau translate bm

Bagi barang yang berharga (product cash kot) kat tempat simpanan /kaunter (stage) untuk dijaga atau simpan. anti door lock kerr bolt ker, pendek chiter, kuncilah pintu. lepas tuu tutup tingkap. Haaaa kalau tak buat semua ni, risiko adalah tanggungjawab sendiri.

Probably they are doing a direct translation. I dont know la.. camp dish-- camp dishwashers.. camp awesome great dishes, yummy.

Aha, but i am still trying to figure out the anti lock door and anti bolt.. wow.. next time i want to ask someone to make sure they have done the anti lock ala anti bolt before going out. haha

  7. Hola Rizal!! Congrats on your new domain :D

Ah, ni baru la clear skit translasinya. I think that's the meaning of the note.

I'm guessing the anti lock door and anti bolt refer to the door having 2 locks. Mungkin camp tu banyak pencuri agaknya kan... ish, ish, ish... :P

That's how I would translate the "notice" (the same two words could also mean "Hint" in Chinese) to the best of my knowledge.

It's a direct translation from Chinese to English word to word, even on the name of the hotel - Ying-Pan, Ying means "camp", Pan means "dish" - hence the all intriguing camp dish.

Hope you can go to sleep now :)

    * I was too tired to do this last night.
