I have never skated in my entire life before! Well, I've tried roller blading when I was in my teens but I landed hard on my back, I was so traumatized that I never wanted to put on roller skates ever again.
But whenever I see people skating on ice, I get so tempted to do the same. Sometimes I wonder how they do it, they skate so effortlessly. Many times I wanted to don ice skates at Sunway Pyramid's Ice Skating Rink but the thought of tumbling hard on my face or butt keeps me from doing so.
There are so many novice skaters and they tend to walk instead of skate at the sides holding for dear life on the railings! That's no fun at all... I suppose if I were to don a pair of skates, I'd be doing the same thing too.
I suppose if I ever were to make a trip to Park City, Utah, I'd be the laughing stock of the entire Park City Ski Rentals staff. Though they may the specialists when it comes to ski rental equipment and delivery services such as skis, boards, poles, helmets and other accessories, I don't think it would help me one bit!
But then who knows, with the professionalism and superior service they offer, someone might just be able to teach me to ski without making too much of a fool of myself.
Opppss.. tumpang lalu nak pecahkan telor. Nak masak telor goreng. hehe
ReplyDeleteI like roller blading and pretty much can say that i am more comfy on roller blading than ice-skating.
Ice-skating? Always have trouble stopping. Method of stopping? Either by bumping to a wall or grabbing who ever is on my path. Lol!!
Yeah, yeah... telur dah pecah!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteTerima kasih Rizal, awak memang baik hati... semoga awak diberkati! :)
At least you can roller blade. I have difficulty balancing... old age la I guess. Don wanna risk getting injured oso :(
I think there is a technique to stop, but bumping into a wall or grabbing whoever is on your path is one sure way of stopping... plus a few bruises here and there :)
no worries Nessa.. i can't skate on ice or roller or road.. whatever on wheels that's hooked on my legs is a nono.. gravity and me... i won't survive it.. hehhehehehe.. but i loveeeeeeee to watch ppl ice skate.. there's something magical about it :D
ReplyDeleteYeah Anny, there's something about people skating on ice, especially professional skaters. Those gravity defying stunts are awesome... how they just jump and twirl and still land gracefully on the slippery ice covered floor. They just mesmerize me!
