The Fickle Boy

My youngest boy recently sat for his school test, which the students take every 3 months. He is such a... urmmm, what's the word? He doesn't like to study but he does his homework dilligently, and he tries to complete them at school so he has more time to play at home!

At 11 years old, he still loves getting toys (miniature cars especially). And he's got loads of those miniature cars scattered around the house that sometimes I feel like donating them to some Child Charity centres!

Anyway, last night after dinner, he came up to me and the following was our conversation...

Son: Mommy, guess how much I got for Science?
Me: Don't tell me you got an E?!!

Son: No la... guess la. *smiling*
Me: You got 100?? *Eyed him suspiciously*

Son: Last time I got 60 plus and 70 plus... this time I scored 80 plus! *beaming*
Me: Imagined if you had studied, you could have scored 100%!

Son: Mommmyyyy!! *annoyed*
Me: If you had scored 90 plus, you would have got a bicycle y'know... *teasing*

Son: Really ah mommy?? So, if I scored 90 plus in my other papers, I can get a bike?
Me: Errrr... yeah. *reluctant*

Son: Can change to PSP ka?
Me: No way!

I have promised him a bicycle two years ago... but whenever I wanted to get it for him, he'd always change his mind for other stuff. And they keep getting bigger and more expensive than the bike. I know he's just trying his luck but he doesn't know mommy is wayyy smarter than him.cool
