Friday the 13th!

I can't recall if I ever wrote a post on Friday the 13th so today being a Friday and it's the 13th, I thought I'd write a short post... just for the fun of it. I'm not really sure what's the hooha about this date so I turned to Wikipedia (where else... hehe) for information and here's what I've got...

Friday the 13th occurs when the thirteenth day of a month falls on a Friday, which superstition holds to be a day of bad luck. In the Gregorian calendar, this day occurs at least once, but at most three times a year. Any month's 13th day will fall on a Friday if the month starts on a Sunday.

Friggatriskaidekaphobia is the fear of Friday the 13th. I have no fear whatsoever of this day... do you? However there are people who are so fearful of the date. Fortunately, Friday the 13th occurs only once in 2010. It will reoccur next year in May; in fact it's a yearly occurrence except in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017 - 2020. It will occur more than once!
