Holidays And Celebrations

Whoaaa... September already??! Isn't it crazy how fast the month just flew by. Another 4 months and it'll be time for Christmas! Yay! And talking about celebrations, it's going to be a long holiday next week ~ Hari Raya Aidilfitri and a long 2-week school break for the kids.

Because of the long holiday I was intending to go back to my hometown but I couldn't get any cheap tickets online. All of the cheap ones are sold out already. Guess everybody had the same thoughts as me. The ones that were available are for the Business seats and those cost a bomb... no way I'm travelling home with ticket flights costing me almost RM3000!! I might as well fly to Perth, which is probably much cheaper.

I know the kids would be restless being at home but I haven't even planned any trip or outing for them yet. Maybe we'll go somewhere close... I dislike long distance travel, especially on the roads in Malaysia where you get loads of moronic drivers who have no value for their lives and other road users.

Just a few days ago I witnessed an incident at the traffic lights. The opposite lane's light just turned red and so the front car stopped. But the car behind him (a mercedes) honked at the fella because he stopped at a red light. What the???!! The driver had the cheek to honk at the other driver because he followed the road rule. Apa punya kepala otak lembu gila grrrr!!! Saya pula yang panas hati.

So if you drive, please do not follow the style of that moronic driver. Better drive safely than drive like a maniac... yeah, you could reach your destination quicker but one day, that destination could be the final destination aka lubang kubur (grave).
