Just the other day I was cleaning out the boys study area (not that they ever study there mind you) and came across an old inkjet printer I bought ages ago. In fact I totally forgot about the printer and it was lying under this pile of old books. I remember buying this particular inkjet printer years ago in this IT park somewhere in KL. At that time it was like a top of the line printer. Now, I think it's not even worth 10 cents. The inkjet cartridges for this printer alone cost an arm and 2 legs and furthermore the ink finishes kinda fast. So I threw the printer away (Gasp!) Well, I donated it actually :)
Those days, not every shop sold these printer ink cartridges unlike today where you can actually find them almost everywhere. There's even this site that's called InkjetDeals.Info that saves you a lot of money if you're looking for an inkjet cartridge or even a laser toner. They list a whole load of online stores that sell all kinds of these consumables with discounts of up to 80% of the original price. One of the sites listed is Carrot Ink and offers discount coupons so you can save even more.
And that's not all that you will find on Inkjetdeals.Info cos they also have a host of other features such as the Printer Info page giving you cool tips for saving ink, types of printers, troubleshooting inkjet printer problems and lots more. If you really don't know anything about printers and printer cartridges, then you should visit this site. If I'd known about it a little bit earlier I wouldn't have thrown away that printer I had... sigghhh. Oh well, I suppose I could buy a new printer since they're so cheap and now that I know where to find even cheaper replacement cartridges, it wouldn't be a problem owning a printer again.
Oh, I have a couple of those ancient inkjet printers lying in storage too somewhere in my house. You're right about the price though. They do cost and arm a 2 legs those days!
ReplyDeleteMD - Eh, sell la those ancient printers or better still donate to the Museum of Obsolete Printers! LOL
