Do you remember those old snake and ladder games? The ones that came in this compendium of games with the likes of ludo, checkers, chess, etc, etc. I'm sure most of us here would have owned one or even played all those games as a kid, right? I used to enjoy playing those games with my sister when we were kids.
Well, my younger boy came home from school last Friday with this same compendium set, well, a mini version of it anyway, which he bought from those junk food cum ice-cream cum toys sellers outside his school. I specifically told him not to but any toys from those people but he just loves to defy me... grrrr...
So, after dinner, he came up to me and asks me:
'Mummy, how to play this game called backgammon?'
I look at him with this bewildered look on my face cos I really don't know how to answer him. I've never ever in my life played any of these backgammon games before. I've seen people play these games but have never really bothered to learn the rules and stuff. It looked kinda boring to me.
So, I tell my son that I don't know how to play backgammon and he looks at me and says:
'But mummy, you should know how to play all this old games since you so old already, what!'
Thank you very much my little darling boy for calling your mummy old! LOL! I guess I'd better go and find out how to play backgammon cos knowing my son, he's going to pester me till I teach him how to play it. Maybe I'll go and see if they have any online backgammon games so I could learn how to play the game. Who knows, it could be fun :D

Ohhh, I remember those compendium of games. I got one for my birthday when I was a kid and I used to love playing it with my cousins all day long. Only thing is mine didn't include backgammon. Not that I would know how to play it mind you ... LOL!
ReplyDeleteI used to be addicted to playing backgammon on my handphone. I would get so frustrated if I lost to the phone!! hahaha.. It's really fun and easy to learn!
