ReplyDeleteHi Nessa! Cats too need vitamins and stuff :) I noticed that with my cat. When I fed him with cheap food he was weak and his coat was not that shiny. Now I feed him with the best food available ;) (I think he eats better than me LOL) and I can see the difference.

my dogs at home hari2 makan lunoks ayam...tapi once a day punya ration lah. kalu tidak gerenti jadi anjing pemalas, tidur saja...LOL

woof woof! lol.. my dog eats bread in the morn n rice with vegetable, egg or sumtime sum chic for dinner. wen he was younger, i start out wit dog food n his fur sheds tremendously. we din figure dat it was the dog food dat caused him to shed fur n wen we do realize it, we changed to diff brands every time we need to re-stock them. but to no gud, any dog food he consumes he will shed lots of fur. wen we stopped feeding him, he's fine but wen we started feeding him again he starts to shed again.
ReplyDeleten all dis time feeding him lots of real vitamins, he has shiny coat n thick fur. so i thk the best is not to feed ur dogs n cats wit pet food. mayb occasionally feed them wit dog food n sumtimes balance their nutrients wit food like rice and etc.. dog has taste too. if u keep feeding dem the same thing everday, and lousy food dey wudnt feel happy and like chegu carol sed, dey wud jz laze around.

ReplyDeleteI used to have cats back home. We just fed them with our food 'leftovers'. Yeah, my bad! But, they're pretty healthy, but their fur are not as shiny and fluffy compared to the better breeds.
I did buy cat food and they're expensive. Lucky I don't have any pets right now :)
Carol - Macam my dad la, he slalu buy the kulit and lemak babs from the pasar, sia yang 'sumaat'... hehe. But the dogs loved those!

I guess some dogs can't stomach pet food. Someone told me to feed pets with rice in diluted sugar to get a healthy coat of fur, which I tried but didn't see any improvement. I think the dog was too old :(

ReplyDeleteActually, my MIL also told me to put sugar in the dog food. I dont really see how it works though cos teda beza juga pun. I mean, their fur mcm tu mcm tu juga. Tambah hyper adalah.

i know rite.. he eats veggie unlike most dogs as far as i know.. i tot most dogs eat veggies but wen my frens knew dat my dog eats veg, the same respond was jz like urs.
ReplyDeletediluting rice with water and sugar.. dat i heard of frm my mum.. my mum told me dat dere was once she fed her dog wit rice and sugar wen her dog lost too much fur due to loads of salty food he consumed. lol.. n rite after some time, the dog's fur was extra thicker than before. well, dat was wat she told me..
Angie - Trust me, I've never seen/heard one that eats vege! Yours is the first and I'm amazed :D I've seen my cat eating grass though! LOL
