Itchy Fingers

Saturday mornings can be quite a bore sometimes. The boys are off at school with replacements classes for the coming Chinese New Year holidays and I've done all my chores already. It's amazing how much stuff you can get done in the morning without the two hooligans running here and there and getting into all sorts of mischief... hehehe

Now I'm totally bored. I have to go out later but then I've got to wait for the boys to come home first and until then I'm going to be sitting here twiddling my thumbs doing nothing. I could always watch TV but I'm not a morning TV person. My shows are mostly reserved for night.

I really should take up some hobby making. And I'm not talking about my paper cuttings. More along the lines of creating cute little ceramic stuff. I've always had this penchant for creating miniature stuff like fridge magnets, ceramic mugs, plates, ornaments, even earrings but have never really followed up on that passion.

Whenever I go shopping, I always see those small kiosks selling all kinds of trinkets such as those cute little miniature fruit and food shaped fridge magnets and I know I could also do something along those lines but one of the main things that has held me back is the difficulty in finding the material and equipment to start. That has always put a damper on my enthusiasm.

But the urge to finally start on my hobby becomes more pronounced at times like these when I have absolutely nothing to do. So, I decided to check online and see if I could find someone who distributed the stuff I need. I mean, if I can't easily find the stuff here, maybe I could online, ya? And presto, what do you know. The gods must be looking out for me cos I came across the AMACO Clay Products & Supplies website and I was overjoyed :D

The site is a haven cos they have all sorts of ceramic items like ceramic paint and ceramic colors that one can utilize to create those beautiful fridge magnets, mugs, clay art dinnerware and a whole lot more. They're an absolutely great site if you wanna dig out your creative juices cos they have absolutely everything from arts and craft products for teachers, kids, craft designers and even for professionals.

Ok, enough of telling you all about it cos I wanna go browse through the site while I have some quiet time and see if I could purchase some stuff from them online. If you're interested in these sort of crafty stuff, then I'd recommend this site to you.

  17. Oh I love those accessories!! It's beautiful!

Syura and I used to make our own accessories too. But I lacked confidence in our designs and decided not to put them on market. LOL!

But good news was, recently my mom's friend and her daughter came to kk on vacation and they were invited to a party and when they saw my self made accessories, they fell in love with it! They're asking me to make some more.. but have to consult with Syura first! LOL!

Anyhow, knowing how good you are with crafts and arts, I really recommend you to set up an Etsy shop or something like that! You're really talented! ;)
